Wesley Village's Wesley at Home program offers professional, compassionate services to older persons who reside in their own homes but need some assistance. Through this program, which is available to residents of McDonough County, Illinois, older persons are able to continue to maintain their independent lifestyle.

They offer the following services: personal care including assistance with bathing and dressing. They also make medical appointments, prepare light meals or snacks, or remind persons to take their medications.

Other services are provided by Wesley at Home Homemakers who are a friendly, comforting assurance that a capable, trustworthy person is nearby in the home. Among the tasks they perform are housekeeping chores such as vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping; doing laundry and ironing; shopping and meal preparation; and kitchen and bathroom cleaning. They also are companions which may include reading to an older person, helping him or her write letters or just providing companionship.

Wesley at Home employees are carefully selected, screened, and trained to meet an older person's needs while residing at home. When arrangements are made prior to the time needed, employees can provide services for a minimum of two hours, up to 24 hours, seven days a week, based on a hourly rate.
