Wesley Village has developed a 26-bed Skilled Care Unit. This attractive, state-of-the-art facility features two smaller, secure units where residents receive compassionate care while living at their highest possible level of independence. The centralized nursing station and closed-circuit TV cameras assure security for residents in continuous, wide hallways for ease of moving about. The residents'rooms are attractively decorated and furnished, featuring pastel colors and large windows letting in plenty of light. Residents are urged to bring their own treasures and mementos to enhance their long-term memories. Each of the units has its own beautifully decorated residents' lounge and dining room. The lounges are centers for small group activities planned around the residents' interests and cognitive abilities. The dining areas offer wholesome and appetizing meals in pleasant surroundings. The Skilled Care Unit also features a Physical Therapy room for rehabilitative nursing services and physical therapy to treat mobility problems. A fully equipped beauty/barber shop is available to help lift residents' spirits and to encourage a sense of dignity and well-being. A "Residents' Garden" has been designed to enhance residents' memories, featuring a walking path, benches, bird bath, and flowers in an enclosed setting.
